Head Coach

De Smet Jesuit High School, one of the premier high school football programs in the United States and the 2019 state champion and 2020 state finalist, invites candidates for the position of Head Varsity Football Coach and Teacher. In the spirit of Cura Personalis, this position collaborates with administrators and faculty to develop our student athletes spiritually, socially, intellectually and ultimately into transformative leaders in our society. The head Varsity Football Coach and Teacher is responsible for planning, development, oversight, and assessment of the De Smet Jesuit High School football program, including tactical game planning and management, supervision of practices, and selection, supervision, development and evaluation of assistant coaches. In addition, this position will teach an appropriate subject area related to the individual’s qualifications and needs of the school. Qualified candidates will meet MSHSAA coaching requirements, have at least five years’ head football coaching experience or assistant coaching experience, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, and be qualified to teach at the high school level.
